Local Forest of Dean

We are thrilled to present Great Oaks Hospice with a cheque for 2,500 pounds to provide funds to run their specialist vehicle. The new car can carry passengers to and from hospital in their wheelchairs making the journey much more comfortable. The car has a ramp and can seat one person in a wheelchair and four passengers as well has the driver. Emma from OfficeStar said “it really is a great piece of kit! and so easy for the driver to help wheelchair passengers load on board. We just love Great Oaks Hospice and the work that they do and were so excited to learn that we had secured this funding for them”. Roger James from OfficeStar explained that the 2,500 pounds charity donation was funded through the sale of their own brand of 5 Star Stationery. “This is a nationwide effort to raise funds for local charities and charitable causes” ” Our customers do not pay any more for their goods but have the satisfaction of knowing that by buying the 5 Star branded stationery they are also giving to local charities- it really is a win-win situation”.

The Forest of Dean sheep do make me laugh.

This morning a rugged fearless sheep stood in the middle of the road while a ten ton truck came hurtling towards him and he (the sheep) just stood there looking at the driver! Hilarious.

I have named him suicide sheep.

PS – I forgot to say that the lorry did stop and then the sheep just trotted off quite happily!
